The M. Sc. in Molecular Medicine provides students with the necessary skills, abilities and specific knowledge to conduct independent scientific work in the field of molecular and translational biomedical research. Individualisation of the program’s focus is made possible through the scope of clinical electives, the Biomedicine module, and the course-related elective internship. The M. Sc. in Molecular Medicine is strongly “research-oriented” and is structured in a consecutive fashion.

To date, more than 150 graduates have completed the program with excellent results, with almost all going on to complete a doctoral program as “Dr. rer. nat.” (Doctor Rerum Naturlium – a European post-graduate academic qualification equivalent to a PhD in Natural Science). Specific doctoral regulations have been drawn up for the Department of Molecular Medicine.

Applications can also be made to the Graduate School of Biology and Medicine (SGBM).
